The Blessed Virgin Mary:
My dear child, I want to bring you closer and closer to the Lord. To respond to my good intention you must get away farther and farther from the world.
You must enclose yourself in contemplation of the Presence of God, you must close all the windows to the world that distract you unnecessarily.
It is impossible to be active and at the same time to be in contemplation of the Lord, but this is the extra effort required for the perfection of the soul.
