What must we do, to do the Work of God?

What must we do, to do the Work of God? Catholic Gospels - Matthew, Luke, Mark, John - Inspirations of the Holy Spirit John 6:24-35

24 When the multitude saw that Jesus was not there, nor his disciples, they took shipping, and came to Capharnaum, seeking for Jesus.
25 And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said to him: Rabbi, how did you get here?
26 Jesus answered them, and said: Amen, amen I say to you, you seek me, not because you have seen miracles, but because you did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
27 Labour not for the meat which perishes, but for that which endures unto life everlasting, which the Son of man will give you. For him has God the Father sealed.
28 They said therefore unto him: What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?
29 Jesus answered, and said to them: This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.
30 They said therefore to him: What sign therefore do you show, that we may see, and may believe you? What work do you do?
31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert, as it is written: He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
32 Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say to you; Moses gave you not bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.
33 For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven, and gives life to the world.
34 They said therefore unto him: Lord, give us always this bread.
35 And Jesus said to them: I am the bread of life: he that comes to me shall not hunger: and he that believes in me shall never thirst.

Inspiration of the Holy Spirit - From the Sacred Heart of Jesus

18th Sunday in ordinary time - What must we do, to do the Work of God? I came to the world to teach men the way to Heaven, to give them knowledge of their spiritual reality, to warn them of the dangers they face on their journey and to provide them with the food they require.

When you work for the earth you obtain only temporary gain, but when you do the work for God, you obtain eternal life. The main objective of work is to obtain nourishment, clothing and shelter. All this is dedicated to the body, which is destined to a short life here on earth.

I have come to propose a different kind of work, the work of the soul, which also needs nourishment, clothing and shelter. The soul is the breath of God in each one, the house of the eternal spirit that God has given to everyone; the mirror that reflects the light of God or that is sullied with the darkness of sin.

Just as the body needs to have food, exercise, hygiene and rest daily; the soul needs all of these in order to live its short existence on earth and to prepare to fulfill the plan of God. I am the bread of life, the food of the soul that God has sent from heaven, He who eats of this bread is nourishing his soul for eternal life. I clothe the soul with light in Baptism, I purify it with my own blood in the sacramental food that I offer through the Church, I nourish it with my spirit and give it the assurance of an eternal dwelling in my Heavenly House.

The soul must come before God daily, first of all to give praise to its maker, then to thank him and rejoice for all the gifts God has given it, to ask him forgiveness for its infidelities, to ask him for spiritual food, the daily bread, to manifest its love for God and for its neighbor and to affirm its necessity to depend on God for its temporal and eternal existence

The Work of God consists in believing in Me, in working to obtain the food that I offer, in accepting the one that God has sent into the world, the Son of the Living God, the Incarnate Word of God, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, the Christ, The Way, the Truth and the Life.

Work for the bread of eternal life, nourish your soul and appease your hunger, rejoice in the Spirit and quench your thirst, the way is open, come to me.
