The Blessed Virgin Mary:
My dear child, you must cultivate in your heart the fear of God which is the beginning of Wisdom.
True Wisdom is to fear offending the Lord because He is terrible in his judgments and no one can be wiser than Him. Fear the Lord by being very humble, by being the least of all his creatures and by being very close to the dust.
Any sign of pride in you is the advantage of the evil spirits to exalt you to pride where you lose the concept of Fear of God.
This is a very powerful maxim, which is the ground for Wisdom, “Know how small and despicable you are and acknowledge how great and majestic the Lord is”.
My dear child, you don’t have to please anyone but God, this way your salvation is assured.
