Christ the King

Gospels explained by Jesus - Gospel messages, gospels explanation - Christ the King33 Pilate therefore went into the hall again and called Jesus and said to him: Are you the king of the Jews?
34 Jesus answered: You say this of yourself, or have others told you this of me?
35 Pilate answered: Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered you up to me. What have you done?
36 Jesus answered: My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would certainly strive that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now my kingdom is not from here.
37 Pilate therefore said to him: Are you a king then? Jesus answered: You say that I am a king. For this was I born, and for this came I into the world; that I should give testimony to the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice.

I am the Eternal Word that created heaven and earth. Is is not my right as lawful owner to reign over my creation?
However, I didn`t come to the earth to impose my kingdom on anyone since my kingdom is the Kingdom of my Divine Will.
In heaven all the angels are my subjects because they really understand who I am and they are very eager to serve me. For this their rewards are eternal.

My kingdom is based on my Divine Word, which for thousands of years has instructed men on the way to follow. The fallen angels resisted my Word and their punishment was eternal expulsion from heaven.

Satan came to the world to instigate rebellion in manĀ“s heart, and wants to cast all humanity into hell. For this reason, I came down to the earth to redeem my creation and open the way for it into heaven. And as there are laws in the world for people to behave and to avoid punishment, so whoever wants to take part in my eternal kingdom and receive eternal life, must conform to my commandments.

My commandment is a commandment of love, just as I love my creation. Those who follow me must become like me, generous, loving and concerned about others. Without love there is no heaven for anyone.

My kingdom is open to the humble of heart, to those who are willing to renounce the temporal pleasures and attachments in order to acquire the kingdom of heaven.

How fortunate is the man who open his heart to my Kingdom. He begins to enjoys my gifts even here, and will live eternally in my heavenly kingdom.

Such a man will always enjoy peace, love and joy in his heart.
