| Dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus,
For two years I courted the most wonderful woman I've ever met.
Her name is Rosie. She is a Catholic who rarely attended church.
She was so much in love with me she was willing to do anything I
asked of her, including attending worship services with me. She
soon found meaning and comfort in prayer and told me she's never
felt so close to God before. But she never took that extra step to
commit herself to the Lord.
Our beautiful relationship has now ended. We are still good friends
and we talk often. Although my heart is broken, I am not asking
you to pray for me or that we get back together, although that is
my heart's desire. More important, I'm asking that you pray for the
Holy Spirit to touch her and move her toward trusting in Jesus for
her salvation. My influence on her spiritual life has waned and now
I'm asking for the power of collective prayer to accomplish what I
could not.
